Jac Casale is a Senior Vice President for Horton’s Select Business Division. In this role, Jac is responsible for maintaining and growing Horton’s customer base in the Risk Advisory Solutions Division. His daily responsibilities include managing client and internal team relationships, bringing new clients on board, solving complex needs, providing expert consultation on commercial insurance programs, and reducing client risk and workload.

With 15 years in the insurance industry, Jac’s longevity and success are a testament to his expertise and dedication. Before joining Horton, Jac worked for Hub International as a property and casualty producer. One of the biggest philosophies he developed there is that the most important people in the business are those in client advocacy and customer service. Without them, the machine doesn’t work. Jac, however, brings a unique approach to this role. He sees himself as a partner and teammate to both his clients and co-workers, aiming to help others achieve their highest potential, whether business-related or personal, by being proactive and supportive 24/7.

Jac’s ability to form and maintain close personal relationships is often complimented, as is his knack for making people feel comfortable and being direct. His philosophy centers around the golden rule: “Treat others how you want to be treated,” which guides his approach to client advocacy and customer service. Jac believes that nothing is given or easy and that determination and hard work are essential to staying on the path to success.

Jac recognizes the current state of the insurance industry is challenging due to a hardened market driven by global catastrophic losses, increased costs, and reinsurance issues. However, he is not one to shy away from a challenge. He believes that those who weather the storm and have strong partnerships will be well-positioned when the market stabilizes. “If you can and have been weathering the storm and your partners are not only preparing you but helping you through it, I think you’ll be in an enviable spot when the hard market subsides,” Jac explains.

Jac’s personal goals for his position at Horton go beyond professional success. He is driven by a genuine desire to make the lives of his clients and team members easier and happier. “That I get to work with so many different people and really get to know them, from the client side to the service side to the carrier side, and really spend time with all these people is the most rewarding aspect of my job,” Jac says, reflecting his deep personal connection to his work.

Born and raised on Taylor Street in Downtown Chicago, Jac attended St. Ignatius College Prep high school and now lives in Northbrook with his wife, Lisi, and their three children: son Johnny and twin daughters, Gigi and Mia. Jac enjoys cooking, gardening, skiing, and listening to music loudly with the windows down. His family background is deeply rooted in the Italian restaurant industry, with his family owning O’Fame and Armand’s, where Jac worked in various roles throughout his life. Despite his love for the restaurant business, he prefers the slightly less stressful world of insurance, which allows him to spend more time with friends and family.
