Kevin serves as a Senior Vice President, Actuarial Services for Horton’s Multiemployer Consulting Solutions Team. He is responsible for putting together budget and rate projections, assessing reserve position adequacy, calculating the impact of plan changes, and evaluating and negotiating renewals and proposals.
Kevin has over 14 years of multiemployer actuarial experience. Before joining Horton, he worked at Segal, a leading benefits consulting actuarial firm, where he was an effective consultant to his clients and honed his actuarial skillset.
Kevin views every interaction with a client as an opportunity to build trust, foster long-term relationships, and create positive outcomes for all parties involved. “My personal philosophy on client advocacy and customer service revolves around the core principles of empathy, integrity, and proactive communication,” he says. “I believe in genuinely understanding the needs and concerns of clients, advocating for their best interests, and consistently delivering exceptional service that exceeds expectations. This involves actively listening to their feedback, promptly addressing any issues or challenges, and going above and beyond to ensure their satisfaction.”
The most important concept for Kevin is honesty and transparency. While not always the easiest path, being upfront and honest with clients has always led to the best outcomes and helped him build trust in those relationships. In terms of rules, he has established a few guiding principles to help navigate his work and creative endeavors effectively. One rule he adheres to is the importance of continuous learning and growth. He is dedicated to expanding his knowledge, honing his skills, and seeking out opportunities for self-improvement. Another rule is the emphasis on collaboration and teamwork. He recognizes the value of diverse perspectives and collective wisdom and strives to foster a collaborative environment where everyone feels empowered to contribute their unique insights and talents.

Kevin lives in Park Ridge, IL, with his wife Erin and their two kids, Ella and Aiden. He enjoys spending time with the kids, cooking and scuba diving.
