George Daly

George Daly started with Horton in 2005 and is the President of Horton’s Personal Insurance Division. In this role, he is the executive sponsor and strategic leader responsible for the personal lines property and casualty insurance business that serves middle market, affluent and high net worth clients across the nation.  His responsibilities encompass strategy, production, client experience, management, and P&L performance.

In addition, George is responsible for corporate administration, office services, property management and special events at Horton.

Prior to his current role, George was the COO at Horton where he was responsible for the agency’s corporate resources, information technology, marketing and personal lines team and working with the various divisions. George brings with him over 30 years of insurance and operations experience, George received the Award of Excellence for outstanding work from InsureOne. 

George is on the board of the Independent Insurance Agents of Illinois. George has held various roles there, including regional director, government relations chair and IIAPAC chair.  George is currently on the executive team and will be IIA President in 2020.

George places a great emphasis on giving back to his community. He serves on the Franciscan Alliance Health Foundation Board that is dedicated to addressing the ever-growing healthcare needs of lower income communities. In addition,  George helped to build Challengers Field, a place where mentally and physically challenged kids and young adults can play baseball. There are more than 100 kids that play in the Challengers program. Now, George coaches a special needs team and continues to organize and help raise funds so that all kids can play for free. Additionally, George was a member of the Tinley Park Fire Department for 8 years.
George holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Chicago State University in Chicago, Illinois and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame, in South Bend, IN. 

George grew up in Oak Lawn, Illinois and now resides in Tinley Park, Illinois with his wife Margie, and his three children. George is incredibly passionate about youth sports. He was fortunate to coach his children for many years and served on the St. Elizabeth Seton Athletic Board. He is a Director on the Andrew High School Booster Club and a member of the Principal/School Improvement Committee.
